| A SPIN Class in his Honor
TRAIN West Hollywood is opening its SPIN Studio doors on
Wednesday, January 31st, at 630pm for a tribute SPIN class
in honor of Doug.
While he changed and made a difference in many people's
lives in various ways, Spinning was a way he touched us
with his graciousness and ability to motivate us to new
heights.
We want to give back to Doug by honoring him this way and
creating tangible energy that our collective efforts and
thoughts can create. He will be there with us in spirit.
His long-time friends, Georgeanne Nicol and Kevin Molloy,
have already assembled the music composed of the songs Doug
used and loved. Several of his protege's will lead segments
apiece. We ask that if you ride in class, to give up your
bike after a turn so that others may partake in this celebration.
There will be no charge for the class but, rather, we will
be taking donations in Doug's behalf for his favorite charity,
the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Memorial Service
Doug's official memorial service is in the planning stages
and another announcement will be coming shortly. Please
stay tuned. We will try to get the word out as soon as possible
and we ask you to spread the word around.
Sign-In Board
We have posted a large poster board at the gym with Doug's
picture that we are signing with our personal sentiments
for Doug. This board will be displayed in the SPIN tribute
class as well as the memorial service. We invite you to
swing by the gym and write Doug your heartfelt note of love
and remembrance.
Sincerely,
Mylene Dane and Barry Dane
